In a Fall TV feature posted at TVLine, Arrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim shared some details about the upcoming third season. Some of the info we have kind of known in some way, and the other details we have kind of hoped would be happening. So continue reading if you are okay with some minor (or potentially some what major) spoilers.
Okay, here we go. So the Season 3 premiere episode is titled “The Calm,” and for the most part is total opposite of the Season 2 premiere. Oliver/Arrow finds himself winning over Starling City. They are starting to see him as a hero. In Season 2 we were introduced to Sebastian Blood who along with Slade Wilson tore Oliver down. But in Season 3 we are introduced to Ray Palmer, who will be a different kind of adversary for Oliver. Palmer will be attacking on the business front, and will be involved with Felicity too.
Diggle will be taking the spotlight in episode 3 as a dad-to-be. Recently announced, Charlotte Ross will be guest starring in at least one episode, episode 5, as Felicity’s mom. Also as suspected, or maybe hoped, the introduction of Ted “Wildcat” Grant played by J.R. Ramirez will be part of the evolution of Laurel Lance into Canary! Lastly, in the premiere will learn exactly why Oliver doesn’t care much for Amanda Waller.
Arrow Season 3 premiere on Wednesday, October 8th at 8pm EST on The CW. (Source: TVLine)
