For one reason or another, Michael Rooker‘s character Yondu Udonta in Guardians of the Galaxy has been kept out of the spotlight. We saw some early production photos of Rooker on set, and many wonder if his Yondu would have the trademark red fin mohawk the character is known for in the comics. Some speculated it might be added through CGI.
Well we have our answer, he will not have it. An image taken from a junior novel adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy gives us our best look at what Rooker will be sporting. I’m not disappointed in what we see, because I don’t know if the general audience would be ready for the large fin, and to be honest, I don’t know if it would fit Rooker’s attitude either.
Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, John C. Reilly, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close, Djimon Hounsou, Benecio Del Toro, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper and Gregg Henry, it is set to be released in theaters on August 1, 2014. (Source: SHH Forums (Marvolo))
