AMC Gives ‘Low Winter Sun’ The Axe

television-tv-news-and-talkThis was probably to be expected after reports of low numbers of viewers turning out each week, but if it isn’t, AMC has cancelled Low Winter Sun after one season. The series which was an adaptation of the British show of the same name starring Mark Strong and Lennie James as Detroit detectives caught in a web of corruption premiere to okay ratings, but slipped each week after that.

Not even the hit series Breaking Bad as a lead-in could help it in the end. So fans of the series will mourn the show, but probably were expecting this news. I know I pretty much was. Wonder if this means that Lennie James can go back to working on The Walking Dead now? (Source: Zap2It)
