ABC Talking Live-Action Star Wars TV Series?

television-news-and-talkWell we knew this was only just a matter of time after the Disney/Lucasfilm deal that bought the Star Wars rights from George Lucas. In a recent report from Entertainment Weekly, ABC entertainment president Paul Lee, says that the Disney owned network, has “a tentative interest in bringing a galaxy far, far away to the small screen.” Now this only says they are interested in the idea, not an actual confirmation. Maybe now we’ll actually see that live-action series that former Lucasfilm producer Rick McCallum has been working on for years. (Source: via

“We’d love to do something with Lucasfilm, we’re not sure what yet,” Lee exclusively told EW. “We haven’t even sat down with them. We’re going to look at [the live-action series], we’re going to look at all of them, and see what’s right. We weren’t able to discuss this with them until [the acquisition] closed and it just closed. It’s definitely going to be part of the conversation.”
