ABC Talking Live-Action Star Wars TV Series?

television-news-and-talkWell we knew this was only just a matter of time after the Disney/Lucasfilm deal that bought the Star Wars rights from George Lucas. In a recent report from Entertainment Weekly, ABC entertainment president Paul Lee, says that the Disney owned network, has “a tentative interest in bringing a galaxy far, far away to the small screen.” Now this only says they are interested in the idea, not an actual confirmation. Maybe now we’ll actually see that live-action series that former Lucasfilm producer Rick McCallum has been working on for years. (Source: EW.com via ComingSoon.net)

“We’d love to do something with Lucasfilm, we’re not sure what yet,” Lee exclusively told EW. “We haven’t even sat down with them. We’re going to look at [the live-action series], we’re going to look at all of them, and see what’s right. We weren’t able to discuss this with them until [the acquisition] closed and it just closed. It’s definitely going to be part of the conversation.”
