The first trailer for Assassin’s Creed, a live-action movie adaptation of the Ubisoft video game, debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night.
A revolutionary technology unlocks Callum Lynch’s genetic memories and Callum quickly discovers he is a descendant of a secret society of assassins. By reliving the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain, Callum amasses a vast amount of knowledge and skills. Callum then applies his new learnings to the present day by taking on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization.
Assassin’s Creed is directed by Justin Kurzel. It stars Michael Fassbender as lead character Callum Lynch with Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons and Michael K. Williams. Assassin’s Creed opens in theatres worldwide on Dec. 21.
